The Music Festival Awakening

With the world beginning to open back up little by little, it looks like we might finally have some music festivals on the horizon for 2021. Whether you’re a raver, an indie head, or a die-hard hip-hop fan, this year’s festival offerings have something for everyone. Here, we highlight some of our favorite festivals that have been announced so far.

Summer Camp Music Festival - Chillicothe, IL (August 20th-22nd)

SCAMP is slated to return this August, a bit removed from their typical Memorial Day weekend festivities. As always, the lineup features a blend of electronic, classic rock, and jam bands. Headliners initially announced for 2020, such as GRiZ, REZZ, and Tipper, and of course 6 sets of both moe. and Umphrey’s McGee as per usual, are all booked for this year’s event on the farm. The festival boasts about 7 stages (including a stage that is actually just a giant barn that has visuals projected onto it), and plenty of art installations.

Elements Music and Arts Festival - Lakewood, PA (September 3rd-6th)

Check It Out Here

Elements has a reputation for being one of the “headiest” festivals around, and this year’s edition shouldn’t be any exception. Taking place Labor Day weekend, Elements is the perfect end-of-summer getaway. The lineup ranges from music heavyweights such as GRiZ, Diplo, and Bob Moses, to new faces such as Supertask and Chomppa, to festival scene legends such as Bonobo and The Widdler.

Life Is Beautiful - Las Vegas, NV (September 17th-19th)

Check It Out Here

Life Is Beautiful is back in a big way, with an eclectic lineup featuring some heavy hitters. Green Day, Billie Eilish, and Tame Impala, three of the most in-demand artists, sit at the top of this year’s well-rounded offering. Other acts include bass artist LSDream, trap artist Don Toliver, and Alabama Shakes standout Brittany Howard.

Outside Lands - San Francisco, CA (October 29th-31st)

Check It Out Here

For those of you who love a good Cali festival but can’t stand the hustle and bustle of Coachella, Outside Lands is your go-to. Taking place in Golden Gate Park, this year’s Halloween-adjacent edition will feature Tyler, the Creator, Tame Impala, Lizzo, TroyBoi, The Strokes, and more. With such a great lineup and San Fran as the background for it, what’s not to love?
